Alzheimer’s Queensland allied health arm, AQ Rehab, is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider, specialising in managing cognitive, physical or neurodegenerative disability in older Australians aged 50 – 65.
At Alzheimer’s Queensland we recognise that everyone has the right to live a rich and fulfilling life, one which is not defined by disability. We support clients and their carers with a range of disabilities including; early onset dementia, stroke, brain injury, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injury and other cognitive and physical disabilities.
Our specialist care experts can support you with a range of services including:
- Support coordination
- Allied health services (physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy)
- In home support (social, personal care, domestic)
- Centre based activities (day and overnight respite)
We also have a strong background in aged care and carer support frameworks, and can provide specialist support to clients who are transitioning from aged care to NDIS or accessing supports from both sectors.
AQ has been working over three decades to empower our clients and their carers to maintain a socially valued life. We are here to make a real change and make growing old a positive experience for older Australians with a disability by developing initiatives that support roles, social and functional independence.
