Providing supportive aged care services to Queensland residents

Alzheimer’s Queensland, AQ, provides a range of world-class, aged care services at home, or through our local centres.

At AQ, we understand the importance of aging well. Through our dedicated aged care services, we want to support those who are aging, and those with dementia, to live fuller lives. We also want to provide much-needed assistance to carers and family members.

Our local, aged-care centres are designed to provide personalised support that creates a feeling of coming home. They offer community respite, home care packages, specialist dementia care services, education and training, and support groups.

We also provide a comprehensive range of at-home services, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, and podiatry. As well as our national, 24/7 Dementia helpline operated by healthcare professionals.

Our team at AQ are here with you and your loved ones, every step of the way, to ensure you're not alone during this important life stage.

As a fully ‘inclusive’ organisation, AQ strives to create meaningful lives, by tailoring a person’s living arrangements and lifestyle to best meet their, or their loved one’s needs.

We are a progressive, not-for-profit organisation that provides a comprehensive and bespoke suite of world-class aged care services, delivered by more than 500 allied healthcare professionals, registered nurse care, expert lifestyle, community respite and hospitality and domestic personnel.

Our services include community respite (in home and centre care), home care packages, specialist dementia care services, education and training, and a national, 24/7 Dementia helpline operated by healthcare professionals.

Renowned for our excellence in service provision, we also offer a variety of allied health services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and wellness programs.

We believe each individual has a unique set of experiences and abilities that should be celebrated and optimised at every stage of life.

We pay additional attention to the needs of consumers from LGBTI and diverse cultural backgrounds. AQ’s specialist staff and supporters share our belief, and work every day with our clients to empower them to lead a good life.
