McNally House

AQ McNally House is a female only, premium residential aged care home in Upper Mount Gravatt, South Brisbane.

This home is for Older Ladies wanting autonomy and social companionship balanced with the safety net of support as and when they want or need. McNally House offers a truly disruptive model to current residential aged care. Instead of Care Staff, our household members enjoy the company of professional homemakers who are present to facilitate their day.

McNally House comprises of 3 levels with 10 suites in each level dedicated to long-term living arrangements. There is an additional fourth level which is the AQ Wellness Centre that houses a state-of-the-art gymnasium and allied health services. Each housing level of McNally House carries its own distinctive aesthetic and functions independently of others.

Ground level –Mid-Century aesthetic
An interior composed of open plan organic, clean lines. Featuring light weight walnut timber furniture incorporating use of block colours and graphic patterns in fabrics and artwork.

Level one – Traditional and classic aesthetic
A traditional design approach has been adapted using panelled cabinetry, layered with furniture in classic silhouettes and detailed custom upholstery such as piping and buttoning. Antique furniture combined with elegant artwork and objects form a layered, classic home.

Level two – Eclectic and ‘world-traveller’ aesthetic|A layered interior that looks as though it has evolved over time, with items that have been collected from various locations over the world. Featuring a mixture of textures and time periods reflecting the diverse interests of its occupants.

• An open plan home design where the dining and a main living area are situated next to the kitchen. Occupants can seamlessly flow through the areas socialising, enjoying family style meals and a flurry of recreational activities.
• McNally House Homemakers have been especially selected as they value individualised, person-directed approach in the care and support they provide. Our homemakers are person focused and not task focused. We believe that everyone deserves to grow and thrive no matter where they reside. We focus on promoting dignity, independence and encourage contribution in all aspects of daily life.
• The McNally House team has a deep knowledge of differing cultural experiences needs and interests in our community. They understand that caring for someone encompasses spiritual and emotional needs and not just about the care needs.
• Our Older Ladies’s clinical needs are supported and addressed by our Household Nurse and by a full suite of allied healthcare professionals, including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Dietician, Speech Pathologist, Music Therapist, and more.
• All home levels of McNally House feature an intimate living room within proximity to all bedrooms. Every living space offers household members a sense of ownership and personalization, and their families an opportunity to spend time with/entertain their loved ones.
• Our bedrooms are spacious, can be personalized in line with each occupant's preferences with their personal belongings including furniture. Our bedrooms are provided with a domestic style bed and personalized bed clothing.
• Bathed in natural sunlight from oversized windows, McNally House seamlessly connects internal spaces with beautifully appointed external courtyards and entertainment areas.
