The Gordon Park and Windsor Multi Service Centres, which operate from beautiful Queenslander style cottages offer homely and secure respite 24/7.
Our homes are suitable for both people living with dementia or the frail aged, as well as those over 65, who are seeking opportunities for social and community engagement. Our services provide support and assistance to allow people to remain independent in their homes.

Centre-based respite & social support
Accessed hourly or daily, our respite services provide social interaction for our clients, and a wellearned break for their carers. Our clients participate in social and meaningful activities, small group outings, community functions and local clubs, all tailored to meeting the interests of each individual.
We also offer our clients assistance with shopping, medication assistance and other home based services.
Overnight respite & emergency respite
Families may access respite for up to a week. All meals and activities are provided through our Centre, and can be arranged at relatively short notice.
In-home respite & personal care
We can provide a companion in the comfort of a client’s own home for a short period of time while the carer takes a well-earned break. Personal hygiene, dressing or meal preparation can also be delivered by one of our highly qualified staff.
Allied health
Funded allied health services, such as at home occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry and speech therapy are available to residents In the local area and aim to maintain, or restore wellness and independence.
Home care package
With an ACAT assessment, a package can be tailored specifically to an individual’s needs. Services include:
- Clinical nursing
- Personal support
- Domestic assistance
- Medication prompts
- Meal preparation
- Social support
- General maintenance
- Gardening
Carer education & support
We run Carer Support Group Meetings, offering carers a valuable way to obtain information and receive support from staff, guest speakers and other carers. We also provide library services, education and information sessions, telephone support groups, and a 24-hour Dementia Help Line – 1800 639 331.
Referrals
We accept referrals from family or friends, medical practitioners, nurses and any other members of the community. Alzheimer’s Queensland can support you through the process to obtain a My Aged Care referral.
Fees
Centre based care: $25 per day
Overnight respite: $50 per night
In-home care: $10 per hour
Allied health: $20 co-payment
Access to our services will not be determined by an inability to meet the nominated fees. Financial hardship can be discussed with our Centre’s Community Services Manager, in confidence.
