Respite
We offer 24-hour respite care to support both clients and carers. Respite gives clients opportunities for social interaction and engagement, while carers can take a short break from their caring role. Respite can be provided in your home or at our centre, for a few hours, overnight, or as a short stay for planned breaks or emergencies. This support allows carers to rest, knowing the person they care for is safe, supported, and well cared for.
Social Support and Community Engagement
At the Garden City Multi Service Centre, we help older people stay connected, confident, and engaged. Support is tailored to individual needs and may include one-on-one support, help to attend social activities or appointments, and opportunities to build meaningful connections. These services support independence, reduce social isolation, and help people continue to feel part of their community in a safe and welcoming environment.
Support at Home program
For clients with complex and higher ongoing needs, SaH may be a better suited program.
AQ provide SaH services through AQ @ Home. Services include:
- Nursing assistance
- Personal support
- Domestic assistance
- Medication prompts
- Meal preparation
- Social support
- General maintenance
- Gardening
- Allied health
Carer education & support
We offer a range of carer support services to help carers feel informed, supported, and connected. Our Carer Support Group meetings provide opportunities to share experiences, hear from guest speakers, and receive guidance from our experienced staff. We also host open days, telephone support groups, and offer access to our Dementia Help Line on 1800 639 331, providing trusted support and information when it’s needed most.

Allied health & therapeutic services
Funded allied health services, such as at home occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, speech therapy, and wellness programs are available to residents in the local area and aim to maintain or restore wellness and independence.
Fees
Most people access our centre services through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). Services are also available through Support at Home or private payment.
